About Wagyu beef
Wagyu is a Japanese breed of cattle, which is shipped bearing the name of the province of origin.
For example, Kobe beef, Matsusaka beef, Mishima beef, Omi beef, Matsusaka beef, Sanda beef and Yonezawa beef.
Wagyu beef was first exported from japan in 2012, but Wagyu-style beef, of cross bread cattle, was available from Australia, New Zeeland and US America.
Farmers from Germany, as well, experimented by inseminating [AI] local cattle breeds with Wagyu sperms.
One of the trademarks of Wagyu beef is its rich marbling – in other words, there are streaks of fat within the meat, adding more flavour and makes the meat more tender.
